August and September Review..
Life has been busy!
To start..Lexie has started first grade her teachers name is Mrs.Hardman and Lexie really likes her. It is wierd having her gone all day long at school, and trying to remember to get her lunch ready. She loves the independence and is making lots of new friends. They grow up so fast...

Joshua started preschool this fall, he goes to a lady in our neighborhoods preschool in her home. He loves making new friends, enjoys the coloring and playing w/ playdough. It makes me laugh when I drop hime off at preschool he gets his serious/I am a big boy face on.

He has been looking forward to this for quite a while, and part of preparing for school Joshua is now Potty trained, yahoo!!! no more diapers is such a wonderful thing!!
(right here is where I would put a pic of Joshua in his big boy underwear, but I realize that may not be appropriate..but he is cute wearing his buzz lightyear undies)
Joshua got his first bike recently, we finally found one that his short legs could reach on, yeah! He really likes that he can ride around like his big sister, and at times gets frustrated that his bike wont go everywhere that lexie's will (because of the training wheels) He rides everyday that we will let him and points out how "fast he is"..way cute.

We went to the Zoo and got to check out quite a few new baby animals...a giraffe,a tiger, and more..It was a great day at the zoo!

We went and played at the playground found at the zoo...Lexie loves climbing on the "spiders web" and Joshua climbed up and yelled " hey mom! I'm a turtle!".

A neighbor and friend of ours told us that their charter school was having a "fun run" fundraiser for the school and invited us. Russ was out of town but Sheila and the kids went. We had so much fun and got some exercise to boot. Lexie ran w/ her friend Rebecca, Joshua stayed w/ Sheila. (Lexie is wearing the red pants)

Joshua was a go getter when they blew the whistle and ran for the first 50 ft, then he said "I'm done." and got into the stroller. Lexie and her friend ran alot of this fun run and passed up sheila and joshua on her way back, way to go Lexie! (Josh is the one with the huge shirt and shoes;-)

Russ went hunting and got his first elk, way to go Russ! We now have many varieties of Elk meat in our freezer. Anyone have any good recipes to pass along? The kids are way excited but Sheila may have taken all red meat out of her diet for the time being.Oh well..

Earlier this year we got a Wii game system and have loved it. However Joshua hasn't been able to really play many of the games because they were alittle "tricky" for him. We got the new "Sports Resort" game and Joshua can navigate and play basically any game on it, because of the new Motion thing. He is quite the challenger and loves to play as do we all. Our family recommends this game to all.
