April Overview
I know I have been a huge slacker for the past month or so....it is amazing how life goes by so quickly. For Easter our church had a huge easter egg hunt over in the new park here next to our home so Joshua and I invited my brother and his little boy Ethan to come over and hunt for eggs with us. It was a little crazy with so many kids but the boys had fun. It was so cute some friends of ours ( their teenage girls babysit Josh and Lexie) would walk around and find an egg and guard it then yell across the field to Joshua to come and get it..Other kids would see my nephew didn't get very many eggs and gave him a couple of theirs. It was really great to see all of these cute kids in our neighborhood be so willing to share.
The Jones side of the family had a big breakfast, followed by a bike ride that Russ and Lexie went to. It sprinkled abit of rain on them but Lexie didn't mind because she reminded us that is what helps all the flowers grow.
We then met up and had an easter egg hunt at the Jones's all of the grandkids having fun. Joshuas cousin Kyle helped him find so much that before too long Josh couldn't carry his easter basket and had to just drag it, too heavy. He shared those with Kyle later sitting on the kitchen floor.
After a busy day Josh and Russ took a nap.
We went to the zoo with a friend Angie and her daughter Kaycee. It was such a beautiful day and the kids even got a bit of sun.
My mom, sister Diana, cousin Audrey and I went down to Henderson, Nv to visit my Aunt who lost her husband last month. We were there for the weekend and had some really great girl time and did some "spring cleaning" in my Aunts home. She recently got a new companion named Ruger a sweet border collie mix dog. He was quite the entertainment and is a great companion for my Aunt.
They finally have opened the fishing pond here next to the house. Joshua has been bugging his dad for weeks to take him fishing. We grabbed our gear and drowned a few worms, but no fish were caught on this trip. Maybe next time.
Joshua absolutely loves bubbles and can blow bubbles off and on all day long. The nice thing is that our dog Suzy loves to catch bubbles and runs or jumps around like a crazy girl trying to catch all of them that Joshua gets in the air. Very funny to watch. Shown here w/ Josh pushing his lawn mower around that blows bubbles as you go.
